NEED HELP!!New ball python from breeder possible scale rot?

Hello everyone, i am new to this forum. I have recently bought a 3 year old ball python from a local breeder near me in freehold nj. It was night time when i picked him up and he seemed to be well from what i saw but i noticed later after looking at him at home that his underside looked not all white. I am new to ball pythons and need some help to see if this is normal underside of a ball python and if not what is it possibly and how can i help cure him asap. Thank you in advance and here is a picture of how he looks.

Could just be going in to shed. We'd need a better pic to say really. When they are about to shed their bellies go pink/red before they clear up again. Some are way more noticeable than others!

Are you talking about the dark markings on the belly?
If you are, that's pretty standard for a normal. Some normals will have very clean white bellies, others will have very busy checkered ones.

I don't see anything particularly wrong in the picture. But its still kind of a poor picture. I can't see the belly in the shadows very well. Scale rot looks like something is eating away at your snake's scales bit by bit.

If it is scale rot, you can put some diluted betadine on it. If its really minor, it will go away with the next shed.

Okay thanks a lot everyone. I just usually saw the normals with white bellys and was curious to know whether this was normal or not. But thank you very much!
