how many use ventilation in snake room?

Heloo guys i am new to this forum since I am just now starting to get into ball pythons .. I am setting up my reptile room and I was wondering if it is necessary to have some sort of ventilation sistem in the room so that it keeps temperature almost equal for bottom and top tubs .. otherwise I read that there can be a lot of difference in a lets say 10 layer rack .. 3 degrees Celzius between top and bottom layer

A simple $10 fan in the corner to break up the heat bubble that builds in the upper part of the room will create a room that is the same top to bottom, at least it does in my room.

I do since my snake room doubles as a rat room. It smells to high heaven in the summer, so I got an industrial exhaust fan to put in the window.

does the fan have to hang down from ceiling to blow the air to the ground or can it just be on let's say a table and blow the air horizontally to match the temperatures on the top and in the bottom of the room?

I have 12' ceilings. I just have a fan pointed up to keep the air moving, so all the heat just doesn't sit up there.
