    Mites in room

Is it safe to put a snake in a room that perviously had mites? Im getting a new snake and i want to isolate it from the snake that had mites and the rest of my collection. Problem is i already moved the snake with mites to another room. The room i want the new snake in has not been occupied for a week and i vaccumed, cleaned the desk the quarintine tub sat on, and washed all my sheets, ect in the room. Will mites climb a desk and into a tub after a week and a half with no hosts? Thanks

I forget the specific life span of mites without a host (I'm sure you could search here to find it), but believe it is just a few days. I would do another deep cleaning before bringing the new snake in, just to be safe. Good on ya for having a good mindset for QT tho!
