Whoever you finally decide to go with, check them out thoroughly (ask people that have done business with them, check Fauna's BOI, etc.) I wish I had done that before I bought some from Fred Kick, would have saved me time, money, and the pain of losing my first snake

I have heard nothing but bad associated with that name, Fred Kick.

I can tell you from personal experience.
I purchased a female het genetic stripe, and got a free male het g-stripe.
When they arrived, they were infested with mites.
I took a video of the unboxing, and sent it to him, expressing my displeasure. (I wasn't very nice)
He offered me another female at half price, guaranteed to be mite free. I took him up on the offer.
She came in with no mites, but had such a bad respiratory infection, that a full round of Fortaz, followed by a full round of Baytril did not cure her. She passed away, giving me a steeled resolve to only buy from HIGHLY recommended breeders that I personally research.
Shady breeders give us ALL a bad name.

Definitely research anyone you're buying from. They don't have to be big name breeders but they should have a good reputation in the community. The fauna BOI, the feedback forums here, etc.. Also, never settle for the first thing you see. Always shop around and get what you really like and want.

There are tons of good and honest people who take good care of their collections. You're on the right track by joining forums. Lurk all the reptile forums, the reptile classifieds like kingsnake.com and faunaclassifieds, the Facebook reptile pages and groups, etc, etc.. It won't be long before you know all the names. Even the little guys

Re: Who sells the best BPs?

I got my first ball (a normal) from mike wilbanks. Great guy, great snake. Arrived right on time, very docile and a great eater I would definitely check him out.
