markers for het hypo??
Are there any markers for a het hypo normal female? Our smallest normal BP is supposed to be 100% het hypo and i know we will not know for a couple of years but we are planning on when big enough to breed her with out POG male. I was wondering if there are markers i could look for to see if there is a chance that she is het.
thanks

I've heard people say to look for extra blushing but personally, I think that's kind of BS. The best markers are the word of your breeder and proving it out over looking for small markings which can really mean anything in some snakes.
The Ball Pythons
0.1 2002 normal "Noodle", 1.0 2011 albino "Mosh", 0.1 2011 pinstripe "Pepper", 1.0 2009 lesser "Cato, 0.1 2010 spider "Phoebe", 1.0 2011 pastel 50% het. hypo "Toad", 0.1 2012 black pewter "Pomona", 0.1 2013 kingpin "Marvel", 0.0.7 lesserxspider eggs
The Others
0.1 2013 p. baroni "Hyacinth", 0.1 2013 CB g. oxycephala "Laurasia", 1.0 2013 T+ albino p. brongersmai "Reinhardt", 1.0 2012 CH g. oxycephala "Gondwana"
The Dearly Departed
0.1 2012-2013 hypo black pastel "Dexter"

Years ago I bought a het hypo male. He was unusually bright and clean (very little dark in the lighter pattern elements). When I bred him to a normal exactly half the clutch looked like him. Unfortunately only one of the bright/clean ones was female but I held her back and sure enough she proved. I also proved a cinnamon male that was possible het hypo picked for light color and faded head. Recently I bought a known double het hypo clown male and he is also light with a faded head. IMHO hypo has nearly as much of a co-dominant tendency as pied. I even saw some hets that shed clear like hypos once. The hets are often (though presumably not always) half way between normal and hypo in appearance.

Re: markers for het hypo??
I hatched out over 20 het hypos this year and every one had a faded head or head spot. The normals all had nearly identical head spots.
