    What a Bunch of Clowns!

I’ve been wanting to make this post for a while but I wanted to wait until all the snakes had a few sheds first so the true colors could develop.

It’s no secret that I am a big fan of Clowns and their potential. For or a morph that has been around for a long time, I think their potential has just begun.

I’ll start this post by introducing a morph I have been working with for years now, that I originally called, for my own purposes, a Tiger. I first produced them when I bred a very reduced BHB line Clown with 0.2 reduced banded sibling females I purchased from another breeder. The results were what you see below. I have since renamed them ‘The Blade’ to prevent any confusion with the Desert Enchi cross also known as a Tiger hoping to distance it from the Desert gene.

To date The Blade has proven to be dominant and I also think I have produced a Super version but until which time I breed them I don’t want to confirm that. The results have been interesting and quite impressive to say the least.

All these animals have been produced this year.

    First up is The Blade.

Second is another Blade poss het Clown.

This what I think is the Super Blade Pastel

This is one of my typical Clowns.

    A very busy Pastel Clown.

    My first Pewter Clown.

    A very nice Butter Clown.

A male Butter Clown I acquired from my friend Phil Robinson.

Another Butter Clown that may have Blade influence but I’m not 100% sure.

And yet another potential Butter Blade Clown.

This one is certainly a Butter Blade Clown. Note the color difference.

The following are some other Blade crosses.

    Pastel Blade poss het Clown

    Butter Blade poss het Clown

A Pewter Blade poss het clown. So different in color from regular Pewters.

And last but not least an Orange Dream Blade het Clown. Lots of potential here!

So there you have it. I hope I haven’t bored you with this post.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

    Please be kind to others.

    Markus

I really like that pewter clown! I also see the difference between the regular butter clowns and the possible butter blade clowns. That blade gene is very interesting, is this morph founded by you?
    More balls than ever before
