    SF Bay Area Feeders?

I've been looking for someone who can supply me on a monthly or bi-monthly basis with feeder rats since the last guy I bought from was incredibly unreliable and the place I'm currently buying from is way too pricey to keep this up for much longer. Does anyone know sources around here? I know there are a lot of reptile keepers/breeders in this area but I don't have contacts which makes things kind of difficult.

Also, if anyone knows where to get silk or hornworms as well, that's would be gold.

Any info that can help steer me in the right direction is very appreciated!

Hey I'm also in the bay area too! Try this place: http://rodents4u.com

They do "deliveries" to the bay area. Also Local breeders might be willing to sell you rats as well. good luck!

Wish I had more input for the bay, I'm in the sac area tho. Rodents4u does do deliveries, but aren't very cost effective. Your best bet is to find a local rat breeder. You can post a wanted ad on Craigslist as well. Might help. Good luck!

    Hm..BAY AREA UNITE!
Rodents4u is good according to reviews and such, I get all my feeders from the East Bay vivarium but they can be pricey, they have healthy feeders though.

Oh wow, I'll definitely have to check out Rodents4u! Looks promising and I can't deny that delivery seems like a plus if it doesn't put a huge tear in my wallet but their prices look a lot better than what I had previously been getting.

As for Craigslist, I've had really rubbish luck on there thus far. My previous guy was from CL and he didn't do a good job at all (All his rats were were much smaller than the standard and he was never able to make a date) and beyond that, I've just never gotten a whole lot of response to my ads in the first place. Breeders are another story because although I know a few good people around, they only breed enough to feed their own animals. Granted, this is like only three different people, heh.

I'm actually currently buying my rats from the EBV and yeah, they do have a lot of good stock but the prices are absolutely killing me over here. I mean, if I had a little bit more cash, I really wouldn't mind supporting them but as my collection expands, it becomes incredibly apparent that I won't be able to stick with them. Not to mention it's a bit of a drive for me since I'm coming from a bit more up north.

Definitely going to check Rodents4u though, thanks for the input!
