Go to you tube and watch the nerd video about coral glows. Same concept. It's thought to be a very weird sex linked dominate trait that has a random crossing over event from one sex gene to the next which creates very powerful males on the first generation of that special male.

Dont google "banana sex ratio". If you do, be sure to delete your browsing history. You may have to re-download your browser too depending what you click on.
I would just watch the NERD video^!

So there are NO non breeding issues? Meaning the male and female will all breed...
SO why are there not more bananas out here? A co dom morph thats 9 years old and is still in the hands of just the biggest breeders....does that seem weird to anyone else? Not complaining about the price, just wondering. No banana calico yet? No banana axanthic? Banana G Stripe?
I still have only seen 3-4 at shows. I love the entire look!!

The problem was that people only had females - and VERY few people had males. So it was an extremely slow process of getting them out there, then they hit the male . . . and he changes everything. This is just speculation on my end though.

I saw a bunch at tinley. I've seen a good number of mid sized breeders hatching them this year. Patience they will get to us mortals soon.

Any banana breeders on here?
And maybe this dumbs it down too much but a female banana breeds a normal male and HALF the hatchlings are bananas. Male hatchling breeds normal female and half the hatchlings are female bananas.....
Got it....so where are ALL these females? LOL!!
