Praying mantis?
What's a good website to buy a praying mantis?

I don't know of any site that sells them, but I've never looked. I'm pretty sure 3skulls had some. Maybe shoot him a pm if he doesn't reply to this thread first.

I was into them for a bit.
Give me a bit and I'll dig up a few sites.

They are very cool. I find that feeding all the babies is a pain in the @ss.
I gave up on them after a couple of oothcas.

Re: Praying mantis?
I love the orchid mantis - so gorgeous and amazing! Someone told me once, though, that mantids normally have only a one-year lifespan. Is that true?

-
True. They only live up to about a year.

Yea, I used to get teeny tiny babies in the spring when I lived in AR and keep it until it died. I loved it, had a little "grave yard" on the side of the house too lol you kinna get attached to them when you get them and raise them up
It was an every year thing, kinna awesome. They were pretty good sized bugs too, AR ones are hefty, then I would over feed them so they were chunky too lol big fat ole abdomens
