Storage options F/T feeders

I found a 3.5 chest freezer on cl for 40 bux. Best investment for my collection outside of my vision rack. Fits perfect in my garage next to the human food fridge.... I stock up on frozen rats every time a show comes through so Cal.

Mine are in my freezer on the bottom shelf. Along with my other frozen food for my saltwater fish. The reason I keep them on the bottom just incase something does leak it will not get on my food plus everything is bagged or doubled bagged.

This is what I do. The bottom shelf of the freezer is non-human grade dog/cat food (i.e. green tripe) and whole feeders. I also put specimens I collect for work (i.e. fresh dead birds) in this shelf. Above that is the human grade dog/cat food. These shelves are ONLY pet food, no human food ever. Above the pet food is the meat for humans, and above that is the rest of the frozen food for humans.

I keep my f/t feeders in my freezer with everything else. They are double bagged in the Ziplock freezer bags and usually wrapped in a paper bag just so you don't realize what they are when you open the door.

...same here...in the chest freezer in the garage, on top of the frozen peas and swedish meatballs.

I bought this mini fridge/freezer last year ( http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=203474092&storeId=10051&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&ci_sku=203474092&ci_kw={keyword}&kwd={keyword}&cm_mmc=shoppi ng-_-googleads-_-pla-_-203474092&ci_gpa=pla#.UMZ8ffX4JfM ) but I got mine from Walmart, not Home Depot (same freezer/fridge though). I use the freezer part for my rodents and the fridge part for my coca-colas. It currently sits in my bedroom. I will, however, be investing in a small deep freezer pretty soon and converting the mini fridge/freezer that I do have into an incubator that I can incubate both corns and ball pythons separately without needing two incubators.

I have a big freezer downstairs to store venison, sausage, other meats and my frozen rodents in the basement.

We have two freezers, one is dedicated to gross stuff. Kind of silly considering it's a brand new full size stand up freezer, but two people don't need a lot of freezer space so I say, "at least it's getting used!" Other wise, I would just put them in a tote and dedicate that shelf to dead rodents only.

We just put em in the freezer with everything else. They are frozen in a bag plus everything else in freezer is closed up or bagged so they dont hurt anything.

I keep mine in the big freezer, I just keep the bag in a sealed opaque Tupperware container so my boyfriend doesn't have to see them every time he wants some ice water.

What's the big deal with keeping them around food? As long as they're contained it's not like they get into things.
