Hey guys, hoping some of you with experience can give me some guidance. I want to build some adult enclosures for my:
2009 salmon 50% het sharp female(currently 5' and 3,000ish grams)
2010 bredli female (currently 5'5"+ and 1,600ish grams)
And three 4' 1,800-1,500g madagascar ground boas.
My plan is for a 4'x2'x2' for the bredli, and four 6'x2'x16" for the boas. Now here are my restrictions!
We're currently living in a 35' trailer that we move every 1-5 months following my husbands job. My animal room is going to be 7.5'x7.5', and also has to hold a 3'w x 2'd x 5'H ferret nation, two 6'h x 16"w x 2'd racks and possibly a 16"w x 6'h x 4' deep rack if possible.
Weight is a huge issue so what materials and thickness can I get away with? Will a 6'x2'x16" enclosure be large enough for the boas if they stay under 9'? I can always make new 8' ones later. I've never built enclosures before but am quite capable. Worst case everyone stays in the 52L rack for another year.
There is a good chance the bredli enclosure will become a nice tv stand display.
