Minimum temperature during the night was 74 (on cool side), but this morning when I woke up (6AM) it was already back up to 83/91. So I think as long as I turn on a space heater at night (at least during cooler weather), everything will be good now. I'm still monitoring temperatures to make sure they are good throughout the day. If it gets too warm during today, I might need to set up another thermostat on the heat lamp (and need to figure out a way to do that so it is accurate and won't be affected by the snake, maybe if I put the probe in the bin above where the snake crawls so it can't pee on it...), just need to wait and see. Either way I'm excited, One step closer to a ball python!
Why keep a snake? Why keep any animal? Because you enjoy the animal, find something beautiful and fascinating about it, and it fits seamlessly into your lifestyle.
