Flower Pot Cutting

I see and hear people who use ceramic flower pots from walmart as hides. I bought a few for my new little guys and right now just have the pots on their sides half buried and they seem to like it. I would like to make the hides tighter for them though so cutting is obviously necessary.

What is used to cut a ceramic flower pot with? I heard to use a hacksaw type blade made from a specific material.

Hmmm, or I could fill the hide up with something. I like the ones from Reptile Basics and may do an overhaul on all my hides when I have the money. Thoughts and opinions welcome. Ty.

I use an abrasive cutting wheel either a mini grinder or dremmel to wear a dust mask it is quite bad dust wise. I know some whom have used pliers to slowly chew away at the edge this could work too.

Definitely won't be using pliers for this process as it sounds tedious and would grind at my patience.

I never tried it, I just went to a grinder. Power tools... arrrrrrr clouds of dust arrrrr cough cough...

If you do go power tool route a dust mask is actually a good idea. Eye shield go with out saying... I hope.

I've done this using pliers. It actually wasn't too bad or too time consuming, in my opinion.
