And out of know where today..she started drooling spit... : / Respiratory infection?

I was handling my little Sapphira today when a big blob of clear spit ran out of her mouth and all over my hand. I instantly became concerned, and Google only solidified those concerns...seems like a symptom of a respiratory infection, the deadly infection I hoped I wouldn't have to battle. My Vet will not be in his office for 2 more days....do you think it is safe to wait until Thursday to take her to the Vet or should I take immediate action?

Also if any of you know, how much damage ($) am I looking at here for anti-biotics and is it a sure-fire cure? ]

It is not uncommon for snakes - soon after drinking - to "drool" out water when they are picked up.

Also RIs are not always deadly. If they get to advanced stages before being treated then they can be deadly. I have dealt with a few RIs in the past and those animals are doing just fine today. I currently have one with a more advanced RI and she seems to be getting better.

If you are sure it's an RI and make a vet appointment your snake shouldn't die in the two days you wait for the appointment. Bump their temperature up a little of you can.

As for cost it really depends on the medicine the vet prescribes and the cost of the exam and any other tests they run. My most recent trip to the vet cost me ~$125, but in the past it has been cheaper, around $60-70.

Well honestly I would say that is her only symptom as of now, although she seems a bit.....weirded out. But I could be projecting those emotions on her. When I pulled her out to handle her she was in her hide not drinking, and she didn't drool until about 15 minutes after I took her out. But I don't see/hear any other symptoms.

Well thanks for the opinions guys I will definitely take her to the vet Thursday just to make sure she's okay.

Ris are pretty easy to deal with except in advanced stages. That usually has wheezing, coughing, all kinds of nastiness. It doesn't sound like that's the case... Although if you are worried I would absolutely vet her. Also raise your temps a couple degrees, make sure she has good ventilation, and humidity. Catching things early always makes a huge difference.
