Shed Problem

I've never experienced this problem before and am unsure of what to do other than what I'm already doing. Valentine's last shed didn't complete. He's still got unshed skin on his head, including on his eyes. I have been giving him 1-2 warm baths every day since his failed shed. A little has come off, but not much. What can I do?

Don't mess with it! If you try to remove the stuck shed around the eye, you could damage the eye permanently. If you make sure the humidity stays around 70% while your snake is in shed on the next shed cycle, the eye caps should come off without issue.

No worries! I know better than to mess with it. I haven't touched it. All I've been doing is letting him have a warm soak once or twice a day. The reason for my concern is because my humidity is actually at around 75% during sheds of all my reptiles (leopard geckos, bearded dragon & the ball). I guess I'm just most worried about the retained eye caps :/ He refused to eat and I can't help but wonder if it's because of the retained eye caps.

Soak him in luke warm water for about 10 minutes then use a wet towel and put it in you hands and let him crawl through it while you gently apply a little pressure (friction) on it and it will come off very easily with no problems. Goodluck

Will keep that in mind. He was able to get most of it off from me giving him a warm bath twice a day every day for about a week. He's already starting to look opaque again, so he's going to be shedding again soon. I've got the humidity in his tank much better than it was, so hopefully it'll work out better this time around.

Yup doing it with the towel after a soak will take care of it with one go at it and no more baths than necessary.
