    f/t success!

Woot! So freaking happy! After a lot of zombie dancing, pulling my hair out, and throwing out feeders...I have finally, successfully got my mojave male to take f/t! Thankfully he made the switch mice / rats without issue (we bounced him a round a bit between the two while feeding live) So he wasn't picky with that part.

I tried using the hair dryer, I tried leaving it in, hides in, hides out, praying, braining...etc. I finally followed the advice of a few here (THANK YOU) and gave him a live hopper/small adult mouse, then immediately followed with a prekilled one. He took it! Next feeding, he took the prekilled first! (so I pk'd the other one...no need to take a step backwards) and he took that one too! Now...for the final step... f/t large rat pup annnnd...YES! AHAHAHAHHAHA FINALLY! Took him a while to eat it, because he struck it odd and couldn't figure out which way to move his mouth to get to the head...but he got it eventually Now, all of my babies are on f/t! Until Tuesday...when the new baby comes, and I get to start all over

So happy! Thank you all so much for your help

Just because, Here's a pic from his first successful prekilled meal. He coiled so hard I couldn't get the tongs out lol. I was like what the heck do I do? He's my skittish one, so I was worried about scaring him. He did not care about me in the least once he had the tastey mouse in his mouth though. (Yes, it's a small mouse, he got 2 that feeding, which was around 13% of his bodyweight)

Thanks all It is a wonderful feeling! My girls switched first try, no issue whatsoever, so this guy was my first "real" switch. The new boy supposedly is an eager eater, so hopefully he will switch without too much trouble.
