    Reduced Pattern

Hello, I am still new with ball python and its morphs. If I understood correctly, reduced pattern is pretty much a normal ball python that will clean up pattern of its offsprings (if I'm lucky). Is this a reduced pattern normal?

Reduced pattern isn't just for normals. All it means is that the animal's pattern is not busy with very few spots/dots/etc. But yes, your snake is a reduced pattern normal.

A nice faded normal with a chunky thick pattern. Some folks really like that. Others prefer the "busy" full looking pattern.

Would you recommend getting a reduced pattern normal to breed with fire to get a reduced pattern fire? What are chances of the reduced pattern passing onto the fire? I love the reduced pattern on all morphs.

    Re: Reduced Pattern

I would buy animals that you like! If you find a reduce patterned normal and a nice reduced fire and you like them both, go for it! Breed what you want to breed for!

For example: I have a nice reduced pattern normal myself. Next season, she's got a date with my reduced lesser in the hopes to make some cleaner lessers! But then again, I like reduced lessers. Now, I like busy black pastels, so if I were to ever get a black pastel, I'd want it busy and I'd probably breed it to a busy girl.
