Advice needed on trade offer
Hi everyone! I've been offered 3 sub adult crested geckos for my 1900g female normal bp. I literally just got my first crested this past weekend and so far I'm loving the little guy. I wouldn't mind a few more but I never thought it would be this soon.
Do you think this is a fair trade?

Do you have pictures? Depends on whether or not they're males or females, too.

What if they are too small to know if they are male or female?

It's hard to say if it is a good trade w/o knowing too much about the cresteds you would be getting. If they are three nice looking females, I may be a good/fair trade. If they are males, probably not (unless they are really nice morph males). Also bear in mind housing needs. 1 male and 3 females can be housed together whereas 4 males would need to be housed individually. If they are too young to determine sex, then it is a role of the dice. I would then base my decision on how nice they look/type of morph. It also depends on if you want to breed. If you plan on breeding, sex will be important. If not, then it just comes down to what you like and can comfortably house.

Re: Advice needed on trade offer
look at it from a different perspective.
1. Is this a personal or business trade.
1a. If business it strictly comes down to what works well for you in your business.
1b. If it is personal because you like Geckos and want more then ask yourself not is it a good trade from a price standpoint but
a. Do I want to or mind loosing the female,
b. Do I really want the crested geckos.
2. If the answer to these questions is yes then the monetary value of the trade becomes a secondary and more minor issue.
Remember trades do not always have be dollar for dollar as long as both parties are completely satisfied with the trade. (But only if the trade is for personal pleasure and not business.

You guys had some great advice! I finally got to see them. They were on the verge of being able to sex. I think 2 of them are males. They all look the same though, so I won't be trading. I was a little confused on what to do originally because right now they would have just been pets with a possibility of breeding in the future. I just don't know enough about them yet to take on breeding responsibly, and I'm more focused on my bp's. I've got 5 projects this year, the most I've ever had so I really don't need the normal female. I might look around for some other better trades
