Re: My bad! But she didn't go very far.
Glad to hear you found her quickly! We had an escapee once and did not find her for almost 2 weeks.

I've found a snake in a guitar before. I'd say it's one of the first spots to look. I've had two escapes I've never found, corn hatchlings, but other than that I've had some lucky occurrences. One of my yearling corns decided to get into bed with my girlfriend and I. She woke me up in the middle of the night and picked a snake up off her stomach asking if it was mine, haha. Another time a sand boa hatchling got out but I found him right next to his container wrapped around heat cable. Derp. Other times I've found hatchling bps in my gf's duffle bags and my savannah monitor loves to hide in her shoes... Actually, I'd say that 90% of the time my reptiles are hiding in her things. They must like her scent.

Haha your gf has a sent herps find appealing. That was my first escape I'm normally way more carful of closing the lid but had to put the hides back in for her so spaced a little.

I think that no matter how careful you are, they can still get out. One of my corns recently figured out how to lift up a breeder box at the pressure points to unlatch it. After taping that she found out how to slide the click top open. Little bugger is smarter than any rodent.
