Happy Veteran's day to all of our vets! Whether you have served or are currently serving, and whether your time took you to a combat zone or not, thank you for all that you guys do for our great nation! I don't feel that we as Americans have any true rights, but that all the things that people consider rights are actually priveleges which are guaranteed us by the men and women in uniform. They are the one protecting the Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic.

I can't wait to get back to the States - less than a month to go! If I never see Afghanistan again it will be too soon, however I know that Jinx will be headed this way soon. I am sure that for the most part he is excited, as I was before I left and as I am every time we roll outside the wire on a mission, but my heart is still heavy for the fact that you will be leaving family and friends for a year, as well as you snakes. Stay safe over here man! DarthKevin - as soon as I get back to Carson we're going to get a beer, fraternization or not!

Thanks to all those that have served before and to those who will in the future. It is because of soldiers like Bruce and others, that we can freely exercise the priveledges he speaks of. Come home soon and stay sharp and focused these next few weeks. I will raise a glass of Crown on the rocks to you this evening. It's only 11:50 am here right now.
