    Rosy Boas (pictures)

These are my two rosy boas. I've had them since September 4 (they were born over Labor Day weekend). I acquired them from a coworker who was given two mated rosy boas. For awhile I had been wanting a rosy boa, so jumped at this opportunity. I believe both are male (I think I see little spurs, but they are so small its hard to tell for sure). Both are eating well and regularly, f/t pinkies. I'm hoping I can get some pictures of their cage this evening, and maybe even get some constructive suggestions to make it better.

They are adorable! I've been considering getting a Rosy Boa lately, especially since they are pretty rare around here.

    Thank you for the complements!

I love them, my desire to get one (er... two!) was not disappointed!!! As small as they are, I am still surprised how big they were as neonates. There were five babies in the litter, and although I planned on only taking one, my coworker twisted my arm and forced me (not really hehe was more like "Do you want another?" and me saying "really? I can have two?!") to take another. Two other coworkers took one each, and a friend of my coworker took the last one.

I don't know a lot about rosy boa morphs. I bought a book, " Rosy Boas Patterns in Time" that have a lot of beautiful pictures. I almost can't believe the variety! I saw both parents of these babies. The mom is black and white (I was told a Mexican rosy boa) and the dad is orange and yellow (a California coastal or desert rosy boa? based on the pictures in my book, his stripes are cleaner and less mottled like the desert forms). I hope their colors stay as vibrant, though it won't surprise me if they fade some as they mature.

Gorgeous little worms, man! Thank you Dr. Doolittle for getting those reposted! The Rosy that I had was also a black and white one and she was beautiful. Enjoy them and I look forward to pictures as they grow!
