Is this a black Pastel?

This was sold to me as a black pastel, and am wondering what might this be?

Are you sure they didn't say it was a blackback pastel? It certainly isn't a black pastel, only pastel.

That looks like a pastel to me. Black pastels aren't yellow at all.

I'd bet its black back pastel not black pastel. It's not a black pastel by any stretch, not even close.
