eggs on they 56 and still nothing
my eggs were laid on September 9, 12. and i started counting the day after they were laid, so they are on day 56. none of them have pipped, and they are still very round and plump. 1 of them is getting kind of dark on the bottom, like it got wet but I know it did not. and the other an egg is starting to get white stuff on the little window of the boob egg. should I do anything for them? is it safe to cut them at this point to make sure the babies can get out? I am worried that the eggs are too hard still for the babies to cut since they are still so round and plump. if I cut the eggs at this point is there anything special I need to do for them? thanks for any input

If the eggs aren't starting to collapse, then they aren't ready to pip (or be cut). Just be patient - 56 days is still early, depending on your temps and how steady they were during incubation.

The temps have stayed between 87-89, with it mainly being at 88 degrees.

They should be fine. You can cut if you want, but I doubt they need the help. If you decide to, just cut a small triangular flap that you can peel up and lay back down, to minimize bacteria, etc., issues.

Personally, I would wait. At 87 degrees they could take in excess of 60 days. You waited this long what is another 4 -7 day?
Have you tried to candle them to ensure there is still movement int he eggs?

I have been trying to not candle the eggs so as not to stress them out. I know there is movement in the boob egg cause i can see some color and pattern and it moves. But i haven't been able to tell with the other eggs.

Well if you are seeing color and pattern then they are very close. Not all eggs will collapse.
I would cut on day 60 in your case but that is just my opinion.
I incubate at 89 and cut on day 55. My babies are usually out by day 57-60.

I cut a small V shape into each of the eggs. Got a normal and 2 spiders, all have color and clear patterns. My next question is one of the eggs rolled over when i moved the tub. I righted the egg immediately. Will the baby be ok? Otherwise they all looked good.
The egg rolled before I cut the egg, so it didn't lose any fluid by rolling.

Yes the rolled egg will be fine.

You can cut them if you want. Just make sure you keep them clean and misted after you cut them. I cut mine between 52-54 days and mist/clean them once or twice a day till the babies come out. I also incubate at 88 degrees.
