Are there any visible cuts on it? Sometimes a blood vessel is broken if the rodent is killed before frozen, the freezing process makes it rupture....offer it to the snake, I say. Does it smell okay?

Re: Would you feed this to your snake?
PetsMart doesn't do any killing at their stores. The mice and rats come already frozen from a manufacturer. There's no danger from that one. If anything the head blood will entice a stronger feeding response.

A lot of rats will release blood out of their nose if they are thawed out with their nose facing down. I feed with the blood all the time, nothing to worry about.

Re: Would you feed this to your snake?
Happens pretty often. My one snake seems to prefer when that happens..
