    Breeding Question

My mojave and normal locked last monday and they have been on break since monday evening. Is there a need for me to pair them a few times more or does one day do the trick?

    It only takes one time

But to be safe and make sure he gets the job done most breeders would probably keep pairing.

Yeah I pair 3 days on 4 days off to feed and rest. Then right back in again and so forth till she ovulates.

Yes. I would too recommend pairing until the female ovulates.

I sure wish I could pair them one time and get babies

I started pairing in September/November last season and got many many many lock ups but still didn't get eggs until early May.

You've only just barely begun, hang on tight it can be bumpy ride

    Re: Breeding Question

We do 3 on and 3 off until ovulation. So far has worked well for us. Good luck!

I also do the 3 on 4 off routine until ovulation. Or until the female appears not to be receptive to breeding anymore. I started breeding in 2011 and had 4 clutches the first year 12 in 2012. I've only caught 2 ovy's. Good luck and have fun.
