My neighborhood was dead, there were maybe 3 groups of 3 kids and i was very disappointed because i was walking my son around and in 6 square blocks there was a total of 12 houses handing out candy. Oh how i miss the good old days.

It irritates me to no end when teens come trick or treating and their not dressed up. I give them 1 piece of candy. Dressing up, no matter the age, even if its just ragged cloths and ssome fake blood, gets you a handful. Little ones get 2 handfuls, even though I know they won't end up eating it...I just love seeing their eyes get huge and light up hehe.

My husband and I dress up every year as well when we walk the girls around. We don't try to get candy (we get enough from the girls lol) but it's fun! Halloween is my favorite holiday, dressing up is just way too awesome

I work at our mall, and we had "Mall-o-ween": where parents take their kids to the stores and we hand out candy. It seemed there was hardly any kids there, a lot less than last year. As for at the house, we don't give out candy There's hardly any treaters in our neighborhood anyway, I think most people go downtown to the fancier/richer houses.

I miss the days when I could trick or treat I grew up in a small town in northern mn so the adults would let the kids walk around till way late and we'd hit every house in town I loved it I member every kid in town would be out running around it was best night ever for a kid. I had to work tonight sadly but we hand out candy to the kids that come to the nursing home and we had like six kids come and I didn't see any when I was driving to work and home, I live in one of the biggest towns in mn now and like no kids walk around its kinda sad, at times I just wonder what's happening to kids now adays but I suppose different times then we all grew up in.

We decorate our yard like crazy so we get lots lol this year 243 kids within 3 hours and it seems like kids are trying to grow up too fast, my brothers and sister are 11 and 12 years old and none of them went....I on the other hand went until I was 17 lol

There were plenty of kids out where we were. But it did seem that way fewer houses were lit up and handing out candy. Don't know if people weren't home, weren't participating, or maybe times are just tough. My daughter still got about 4# more candy than she will ever get to eat, though.
