It is impressive the amount of education out there. Props to all of you. As for myself I have a bachelors degree in accounting and am currently working a a accountant monkey in a small company. Plan on going back to get a masters and become a CPA. Just have to find the time to go back to school (funny how it is never convenient).

I currently work in IT and have for the past 20 years but have always hated it. I am just completing my BS in Criminal Justice and am going to law school. I'm 41 so a late start but figured do it now lol

Yea. I worked as an Archaeologist while was in Jordan. It was pretty amazing ad I spent my weekends off travelling around the country exploring archaeological sites.

I'm almost done my degree and I'm going back to Jordan next year to do more work!

Thats awesome dude! I have a friend whose family is from Palestine originally and has family in Dubai too. Just hearing his stories and seeing pictures that he has from over there is so cool. Good luck with that

Well, Dubai is very different from where I went, but it is pretty cool. You do have to exercise a bit more caution in every day life (especially as a woman), but it was pretty tame.

The thing is, I'd have to give up my passion for Archaeology (I suppose I can volunteer on digs and such) if I go into high school teaching. Blegh. I have no idea what to do.

A lot of the keepers have biology or animal science degrees, I worked my way in through the gift shop and through helping them out when needed like an intern. Is a private zoo so its set up a little different than others. I had that dream and gave up on it for that reason (thinking it would be hard to get into). I had to get other jobs to support myself on my own anyway right after school and put off college but I think if I had a redo I would have pursued my degree and worked on getting into a zoo earlier. Sorry for my rant but I totally believe in following passions, life sucks when you hate what you do! Decent paying in a zoo, is difficult; it was a decision I made with my husband to pursue a less lucrative job for enjoying what I do. Plus with my psychology degree I will be able to have a backup if things need to change later, but for now i'm loving life!..end rant...

I'm a certified pipe welder with mig, tig, arc, fluxcore, and sub-arc and i am certified to weld on carbon, stainless, hasteloy, inconel, nickel, aluminum, titanium, and just about any other kind of metal lol. Have my OSHA certifications, CRC's, rigging and fall prevention certification, associates degree in automotive mechanics and welding, and took drafting classes. I was a boiler maker for a few years and that's where i received all my certifications. Not to bad for someone 28 i guess lol.

I work for a hospital scheduling appointments until this January when I will go part time work, full time school. Working on 2 associates... Radiology tech as my quick, easy, and better paying meal ticket and then Nutrition with an emphasis on fitness. The Nutrition degree I plan on developing into a master's (or higher) as life allows through the years and am really wanting to get involved with sports nutrition at some point. Or possibly research in that field.

I'm in my final year of Theoretical Physics. I have been offered a job with a few investment banks to join their Graduate Trading schemes, but have turned them down for the moment.

I have a few business ideas I'm working on, that I'd like to give it my all for 2 or 3 years whilst I have no commitments (children etc). If they don't work out, then I will go into Trading.

Although my end goal is to open a zoo like facility focusing on venomous snakes and crocodilians. As they're my two favourite things!
