    Baby Bumblebee !

Newbie here...showing off my little baby bee! I'm so excited to have him...I think he's just the most beautiful little thing

I've only had him about a week, but he's eaten a f/t mouse and today had his first exploration out of his cage. He's a little shy but I'm sure not for long with me swooning over him. He's about 90 grams. These pics aren't great by any means...they were taken with my iphone in my dark room lol.

Oh and one question. I'm from the dog show world...so excuse me if this question is totally stupid but is there some sort of "standard" that each morph has? For example is he a nice quality snake for his morph? I was told by the breeder he was one of the best bee's he's ever produced...but to be honest they all looked gorgeous to me.

Congrats!!! He looks pretty good, but all the little brown flecks along his side already, are probably going to brown out. I love anything bee though, they are awesome! Good choice! Here is my bee for comparison at 1300 grams.

And she started out really clean and yellow, and you can see she has some browning flecks in there now. Yours has it to start, so highly possible its going to get browner. Still beautiful though!!

Edit: nevermind the rat turds, lol, she just got done eating!

That's a female?? Holy wow... I got goosebumps ... I'm waaaay too into these things LOL. FYI everyone, if you start getting goosebumps when you see a smokin hot ball python, you're an addict .

I can't imagine adding enchi to her... That better be your plan *shakes fist*!! If not then I think we're gonna have to work something out ;].

Oh wow yours looks huge! And is really pretty. When you say he might "brown out" ... do you mean as in he would turn mostly brown like the normals (with the spider pattern) ? Or will they still retain most of the yellow? Ahhh! He better stay yellow LOL

Precisely! The orange and brown flecks will turn to a light brown as an adult. A while back, someone posted about a bumblebee they picked up, and it looked just like a spider... It was clearly a bee based off the head pattern and color, but it was not one we would want to breed .

He is a pretty good looking bee.

Here is an example of a brown bee:
    As a 70g baby:

    At about 500-600g:

As you can see her color changed a lot. She's still light, but it's not yellow anymore.

This has been such a delimma for me. I love baby bees, but I've seen sooo many that just look blah as an adult. I'm getting a bit obsessive about clean bees.

Anyone have pics of super clean bee babies as adults? Or even comparison shots of your smoking adult as a babe? Would love to try and see what the change is and how clean a bee should be to be the bee I want it to be...har har

This is mine as a baby. Terrible picture though, color is not right. And adult pic again, for comparison
