    Feeding question

I'm about to make a purchase of rodant pro and I was just wondering what's the smallest my snake could be to buy medium rats weight around 84g-175g. He's on extra large mice right now which are said to be 50g-84g and I can't even see the lump where it is when he eats it anymore. So thanks for any help

Generally about 10% weight so mediums the snake should be around the 840-1750 gram range say 740-1750 gm for the snake. There is not an exact formula some say 15% some more I use a loose 10% or around the same girths both snake and rats.

Personally I would not order mediums until the snake was in the 1000gm range and was able to eat the large mediums and small you often get a selection and run out of rats because you get a lot of 175gm ones and they are too large is silly.

    Re: Feeding question

So I just weighed him and he's 700g on a 4 week empty stomach. What do you suggest I buy him? small rats 45 to 84g or medium rats 85g to 174g I'd like to buy 2 bags of which ever I buy so it'll last some time. So which to buy that he won't outgrow?

I would go with a pack of each. Feed the smalls off then go for the mediums. By the time you finish the smalls he should be ready for the mediums.
