    Tank heating

i have a terrarium, and i was using paper towels on the bottom and my heating was good 90-92 hot side 75 on the cool side. i changed to cypress mulch and the top of the mulch on the hot side is only about 87. should i turn up the heater or just let her burrow to get warmer?

I'd be afraid to turn it up and then have her get burned if she burrowed down to the glass.

Too thick likely it should be thin 1/2 inch or less.

As long as the temps directly on the glass are 95 or less you are fine
Less substrate is fine because they mostly just push it aside anyways and lay on the bottom.

X2 I use aspen and my snakes will always push the bedding out of the hides and lay on the glass I would just leave you setting as they were. You might want to raise your cold side a little but I would leave the hot side alone
