I dont think so. Sometimes balls like to burry themselves. I think its perfectly normal.

How many hides does it have?

No way! Some Balls love to burrow instead of staying on top of the bedding.

My old mojo boy would hide under the paper towels, under his hide. I wouldn't worry about your guy. He does have hides?

If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies.

It's normal. Just make sure that if you have a uth the actual surface under the substrate is a good temp.

    Re: Is This Bad?

Probably nothing, but check to make sure that your hides are the right size. They like to feel wedged in with their hides. if the hid is to big sometimes they will bury under a water dish becuase it is a tight squeeze. My female albino use to do that.

    Re: Is This Bad?

It's pretty normal! But like the others have said, does the snake have some hides and proper temps? I have a lesser boy who doesn't like his hides. He likes to be on top of them or under the newspaper. Even though I keep a hot spot of 92*, he likes to sit on the bottom of the tub for a little extra heat.

Yes he has hides and he seems to use them quite allot. The rack system is set up with 11" back heat. And he seems to be self regulating quite often.

What do you mean by self-regulating? Your rack needs to be hooked up to a thermostat.
