    Return of RI or?

I posted a while back about one of my BPs having an RI. Turns out the lil man just isn't a lucky guy. He's not even out of quarantine yet, and already something else is going on.

The RI went away with some injections and he's been eating more and gaining more weight. Just now I noticed that he was holding his jaw in a weird way, and upon closer inspection I noticed that he has a yellowish substance in his mouth, along with the return of bubbling. It's even difficult for him to open his mouth/yawn, since it seems to be sticking his jaw shut. It's too late to call the vet right now, but I'm going to do that first thing in the morning. I'm just wondering if this is signs that the RI didn't go away completely, or if it could be something else entirely.

It might be mouth rot. I do know that can cause the white stuff in the mouth. If you look online you can find pictures through google and he will need vet care. Sorry to hear that the little guy is sick though / Good luck

A vet trip is in order. If he has been recovering from RI then chances are that he is relapsing. Last time you took him to the vet for RI did the vet do a culture?

Not that I know of. He did stay in the vet's office for a day for diagnostic/observation purposes, but I'm not sure what happened during that time. That should be something I ask about.

Checking on the lil man this morning, the stuff's dried. I tried to clean up the edges of his mouth a bit and once the dried bits were off, he instantly started flicking his tongue and breathing normally. Will keep an eye on him and still give the vet a call.
