What is too hot for a UTH on glass?

Does anybody know what temperature causes burns and damage to a BP? I still have a 10g glass that I plan to replace ASAP but I will probably have to continue using this one for 2-3 months. I have a UTH regulated by a dimmer and I measure the glass temp up to 107 or so but only 92 or so on top of the substrate. My concern is that if the snake burrows down that it may get burned. I appreciate any info and tips. I'm using aspen as substrate around 1" deep. I don't want to make the substrate any deeper because I would have to turn up the heat and increase the temp on the glass. I believe temps over 95 will burn a snake.

Turn it down a little bit. 92 degrees is hotter than needed for a hotspot. I keep mine at a 88 degree hotspot. Also you can use a paper substrate like newspaper which would make it easier.

95 directly on the glass because the snake can and probably will at some point burrow down to the glass creating a burn situation at 107.

You need to use less aspen.
