Our BP shed for the 1st Time

This is the 1st shed for our BP, Avalon.. We've only had her a month and have just started learning about keeping snakes.
Looks like everything in her tank was OK. She had a nice quick shed. Her eyes clouded over and then today about three days later we unraveled this out of her hide.. Avalon is also looking Silky smooth and shiny again!

Look at the head of the shed for eye scales. If there are holes where the eye scales should be then they stuck. If eye scales build up over time it affects vision (and maybe it's uncomfortable). You are probably fine because you had plenty of humidity.

I think I did notice some small holes.. Would I be able to see them on her eyes?

yes, we were happy to see it come off in one piece after reading about Bad sheds.. She is a little more sensitive to touch right now, but that may be because we just started to handle her right before she shed.. We have been leaving her alone during and since the shed, I figure tomorrow we might start the daily handling again..

there will always be some tears in a shed. If the entire eye scales are missing then you have a problem, but If it is only the first shed I wouldn't even do anything as trying to remove eye caps can damage the eye itself very easily. Chances are they will come off next shed anyway. (Not that I think that you have this problem at all)

This is the 1st shed for us.. I think she shed twice for the vendor we bought her from at a show.. Would I be able to see anything on her eyes? Like I said she look'd like a new snake, all sleek and clean looking.

Don't worry about it. With that perfect of a shed, I don't see how it could be remotely possible that she had an issue with shedding the eye caps with the rest of her skin.
