Re: Cypress mulch
I use it and I'm very happy with it. I like the look better than say using newspaper or paper towels. It holds humidity really well.

You have to be careful make sure that it is Grade A pure cypress without any additives. You don't want there to be other woods or dyes mixed in. Also be prepared for there to be little bugs in it.

It's fine I have been using Cypress Blend for YEARS and never had any issues (blend mean there are other type of wood as well) the only thing make sure you pick the one without any dies.

I went to a local hardware store today and found no float grade a mulch. No dyes or additives. The only thing i dont like is the size its got some big peices in it. and one of the bag had a white film ontop of the mulch just on the top layer. I plan on spraying the mulch with reptile releif to help control the bug problem

I just use Forest Bed. That stuff is awesome. I don't have to worry about bugs, dyes, or anything else with it. I buy the big bag and it fills my boas enclosure once and my BP enclosure twice. With one bag. It's great stuff.
