Okay, so I have pink eye...
I went to bed at 930pm and woke up are 230 clawing at my eye and thinking I was blind. We to the doctor at 9 am only being able to open my right eye for 2 seconds about halfway. He told me I have a extremely bad case of pink eye. I steroid shot in the butt and 113.99 dollar eye drops, that insurance only covered 3.95, I'm getting better, but on to my question...
Can it be transferred to my ball python? I have not touched him for at least 3 days prior and this is day 2. I seen him last night and he was fine.
When changing his water dish, should I have some else so it?
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!!! :-)

Re: Okay, so I have pink eye...
Most human illnesses cannot be transferred to reptiles, so I would be very surprised if your BP is seusceptible to pinkeye. However, you might want to have someone else change his water, jsut so you don't potentially reinfect yourself the next time you handle his bowl.

i would say no although it is probably a bacterial infection. It's possible that it is viral in which case i can say 100% that your bp would be safe. just make sure to wash your hands before and after you work with your snakes.

Ball pythons dont have conjunctivas. Conjunctivitis is the inflammation of the conjunctiva(s). So i doubt the virus/bacteria would effect your bps.
