So i have decided to build a nice display enclosure for my BP's. The carpentry part was easily solved through a friend and i have a few questions on heating. I was planning to use Radiant Heat panels to control my temps. My question is since the panels are mounted in the top of the enclosure do i need to put heat tape of some type under the lineing i plan to use as a hot spot or will the heat panels put off enough IR heat to make a hot spot plus help with the ambient temp. Or am i completely off base in my thinking. I planed to build the enclosure from wood and line it with xpvc, so putting heat hunder it wouldnt be to difficult but i want to know if its overkill or much needed from others experiences.
