of all things during a bad week I find this

Long story short my week been a pain in the neck all week ( nohing going as planned). well I got up yesterday morning and checking on the snakes and I find my butter ichigo side ( picture belowed) like this. I ran though everything I could think of it not a rodent attack since been offering ft this week ( and I did n't see the marks monday when I got to my mothers)
anyhow I can only think of one thing that possible done this. he attempted to escape the tub and got hung up between the lid and the tub side and the lid as he thrashed around adbrased the side until it was raw. and he then decided to rub it against it uneaten prey item ( most the time if i leave it ve night they eat it ) allowing it to become infected. I saw him in the water bowel ( yesterday mornig and pickedhim up ( smelled the rodentit was on the heat (not were I had left it ) so smelled bad fast. and I thinknig he may of broken a few ribs (since it so swelled up and such ) treating with neo ( type ) oinkment with out pain relief) and if not better by wensday making a doc appointment to have him checked out.
This is why I wise I could bring all my snakes to the new place so much cause I can check on them every day. and inspect them fo such injuries .

it does unfotrunatelly look quite terrible but as long as it remains as it is now it shouldn't be a problem .. I am certain it will go away with the next shed so there is nothing to worry about (I sure hope I am right)
    best of luck to you

If its still spreading this could be a burn. How do you heat the tub/tank????

A burn doesn't spread, but could be its still too hot and burning more and more as he lays on it if you use belly heat

not a burn the warm side only gets about 93 degrees ( temp gun and vet said it not a burn ) when we wnet first time. WE think he was trying to swueeze out of the tub and the lid rubbed the spot sore ( during the night/day) (between my cleaning him on a tuesday and finding thi that wensday evening when I was going to feed) and he pulled back in and it just got infected fast ( or deep tissue type bruise) but the shot ewre causing it it to reduce but in the last week we notice it gotten worst. SO got ot make a vet appointment for next week.
