Substrate
So for both of my BP's I am using this dirt from petco. I'm not sure what its called. But its super light and pretty much floats in water. I have been reading of people putting newspaper or paper towels in the cage instead. I am interested in doing this to keep everything clean but how do you keep humidity up? Cause normally you would mist the cage down. Do you just mist the paper?

Re: Substrate
Sounds like you are using EcoEarth - I never cared for that stuff. You would probably like Aspen - it holds the humidity pretty good too. Aspen is much cleaner than EcoEarth in my opinion.

I use paper towel and news paper. I haven't had a problem with humidity. And during sheds, I do mist the enclosure a little.

But what do you do for humidity? Its very dry here, I'm in southern ut. So I have to have something for it. Would misting the enclosure (with newspaper/ paper towels) a couple times a day work??

You can use a larger water bowl and push it to the hot side of the enclosure. (Larger water bowl = larger surface area for evaporation)
But misting 1 or 2 times a day should be fine.

The product you have is the best at holding moisture, there is nothing better it is so close to moss it makes no difference. You will not find anything that holds more water than eco earth (coco coir) It is messy but also environmentally and fiscally responsible.
