I need help, big time
So, I'm 16 and in my junior year. College will be here before I know it and I'm probably going to go to a university a good ways from home, and I've started to think about what I'm going to do with all my rats. I can't just leave them here for my family to take care of, I know they wouldn't want to do that and I'm not going to make them.
My question is, what can I do with them? Sell them? I really don't want to euthanize all of them. They're actually really nice animals, and I've grown fond of them. I can't just let them go either. Would pet stores take a couple? I just need advice on what I should do with them.
Thanks.

Folks are going to ask how many rats we're talking about.
Personally, I've had an acquaintance that lived in Ohio, he was able to keep a few of his rats on campus. I don't remember what university he went to though. But you could at least ask the university if they'd allow it.
Craig's list would be a good place to start selling them if you want. You can at least ask the people what they're going to do with them rather than handing them off to a local pet shop that might euthanize them.

If you're moving on campus it's going to be very hard to keep them. You can always rehome them on CL, or see if some pet stores will take them. Now if you're moving away to school but off campus like I did, then you can always take them with you. I moved into an apartment for students off campus and I have a rack full of snakes. My roommate didn't care either. He knew cus I told him cus if not he would have never known.
