    Is this a young iguana or...?

    a friend of mine show lives in NJ sent me a picture of a lizard outside his window.
    He said he's never seen one before.

    to me, it looks so much like a juvenile iguana, but it could be a local species I'm not familiar with.

    An iguana for sure, and if it doesn't find a home indoors, it's going to be dead in a few weeks, It's too cold in New Jersey for an iguana to survive outside.
