    Rate this fire

Hey all - While surfing Craigslist, I found this guy. Advertised as a 1 yr old male fire. Thoughts/comments?

Thanks for your looking & your candor!

X2. I own a fire, and am usually pretty good with identifying them....but if that is one it's a very low quality. The only reason I'd even think anything is because of the head stamp, but I've seen normals with more pronounced head stamps as well.

    I would pass him up.
Fires should be a light cream color with blushing and flames.
This guy is a very poor example, if not normal. (The headstamp is the only reason I would say 'poor fire'. Otherwise, I would have straight out said normal)

Were they asking much? His color is really cool, but I don't think it's a fire. He's too dark for a yearling and his head isn't faded.

Last year I got all excited because I found an adult female fire on craigslist for $75. When I got there, it was a normal. Since then I've seen a couple posts on this site about craigslist fires that turned out to be normals. What's the deal with this? Do craigslist scammers know just enough about ball python morphs that they think they can pass nice normals off as fires?
