Oh, god, that's heart-wrenching. So what was the story with the mold weeks ago?

Hey everybody sorry I've been away since the " incident" thank you guys all very much for the kind words. I guess I've just got to take it as a learning experience.

Do you think that cutting is what allowed the mold into the eggs? I sure hope not.
This. Any input from more experienced breeders?

I cut because of the stories I've heard about babies not being able to get out. It happened to my brother 2 years ago. I've only been breeding for 5 years, but I've cut on day 55 to day 59 on all my clutches. Waiting just kills me! You would think waiting 55 days, another 5 shouldn't be that bad.

As far as infections, I've been lucky. No molding on the eggs either. I have worried about them drying out though. Last year I had to pop a Bumblebee from his egg. He just didn't want to come out and started to stick to the egg.

    Sorry for your loss
