    Live Plants for my Setup?

So I have been contemplating putting Live plants in my BP's tank.......But I am worried about what would be ok and not ok to have in with her.........Any one with any good suggestions?

Oy, this reminds me of a thread from not too long ago...

Well, if you want real plants keep in mind they are for you. Your bp doesn't need them or care about them. And they can be very hard on them, ie kill/trample/crush them. How about a tub instead? Just more bp friendly, IMO.

Re: Live Plants for my Setup?

Haven't considered doing a tub yet, but I am slightly attached to her Tank, it is a decent size Exo-Terra that she goes all over, I just figured the plants would at least look nice, but I had read somewhere that they can help provide a little extra fresh air and add to the humidity....

If she is going all over, she is stressed out. A hiding bp is a happy bp. They aren't really display animals. So if you see a lot of her, something is probably not right. I don't see much more of mine other than the occasional head poking out of a hide. Unless its feed day. Then I have some that think they need to remind me, by "pacing" the tub. As if to say, hello??? Food?????

Re: Live Plants for my Setup?

She has always been a weird BP, never been a hider. and she has a log...it is feeding week for her so I am not surprised by her extra activity. From the day she came in she has always been active, but nothing unhealthy about her, all healthy sheds and extremely friendly demeanor......

Those half logs are terrible hides for bps. Not very secure.
