If not substrate then what?

Ok so I had my eggs in vermiculite and they got to wet so now their in the tub in the incubator with nothing. Going to the store what should I do to finish incubating them? Please help?

Use the light defuser grid so they don't actually touch the substrate. Then u can use wet vermiculite without worry. You can get the light grid at home depot or Lowes...

Light diffuser! If you find the light diffuser sinking in the wet substrate, then go out and get some of that plastic cross-stitching mesh and put that under the light diffuser so it doesn't sink. (Great tip from Monica - Foschi Exotic Serpents)

Or do like I do use 2 or 3 pieces of light diffuser over the medium to keep the egg crate from sinking.
Personally I would grab a small bag of perilite though, just my preference for substrateless incubating, unless you have more vermiculite.

Yep light diffuser. You can get it from any home improvement store. It's the stuff that goes under florescent lights, the white plastic grid looking thing.
