Tub vs Tank

I have an about 3 foot 440 gram ball python. What would be an ideal set up for him? A tank or a tub? How should I set either one up? Also what size should it be? Any feedback is good feedback. Thanks for the help guys! In addition which would be cheaper ?

I favor tubs. Just know that the room you keep it in needs to be warmer to keep the appropriate ambient temps up. A heat lamp to do that won't work with a tub.

Setup for one snake:

~ IMO a 28-34 qt tub for a 440 gram bp (size is personal preference)
~ UTH regulated with a thermostat or flexwatt regulated with a thermostat
~ binder clips/luggage straps to keep lid on
~ two hides, water bowl, foliage if wanted (fake plants or crumpled up newspaper)
~ digital thermometer for temp and humidity levels: you can do one with a probe for the hotspot OR what I do is one for ambient temps and check the hotspot with a temp gun

My room is very humid during the summer at about 80% with the fan off and 50-60% with the fan on and window open well that's what his tank is. Right now its night time I unplugged the heat pad and his hide is at 79.5 with 70% humidity, im trying to get down the humidity now though. So I really want to switch to the tub idea it seems a lot better. I will try to get all the supplies then switch him over eventually. Thanks

What size UTH should I get for a 28-qt tub?

I vote Tub.
It's easier to clean and maintain humidity than heavy tanks.

You need to get an UTH at least 1/3 the size of the tub.
I personally use 11 inch flexwatt 6 inches wide for 28 qt tub rack.
But most people just use 4 inch flexwatt across the entire width of the tub.

If that 79 is the warm side hide you are going to fall into temps that are to cold for a bp. You need to have the uth on a thermostat and provide a hotspot at all times. You need a hotspot of 90-95 with the rest of the tank around 80. I wouldn't let it get under 77.
