Re: Day 22 of incubation
Well unfortunately all I have is a crappy petco humidity gauge which I'm pretty sure isn't the most accurate. It usually reads slightly above 80. However I believe the humidity is much higher than that as I get condensation built up on the walls and top of the egg tub, not enough to actually drip just small droplets. I know this isn't from a heat difference as I keep my entire incubator the same temp and not just the egg box (if that makes sense).

I would try to find something else to read the humidity. I believe dimpling like that is caused from low humidity. I have 5 eggs that according to a digital hydrometer/thermometer are sitting at 86.5-87 degrees with 88% humidity and I don't have any condensation or dimpling.

How bad is this? I mean what is the typical day range for when they are suppose to start to dimple?

They look like calcium issues in those dimple spots, it happens a lot actually.
Notice the little window in the dimple on the far right, that is causing that dimple.
If you've got condensation as long as the water level stays up I'd bet you have plenty of humidity.
Our eggs typically start to dimple around day 42-45.

Should I just add a little water in the corner to be safe? I mean with condensation I really don't see how there isn't high enough humidity. I realize that condensation can occur when the temp in the egg box is different than the incubator buy my probes for my T-stat are in the bator itself and not in the egg box. There fore it's both 89 in the incubator and inside the egg box. So with the condensation in the egg box now is it even possible that the humidity is to low? I mean I was always under the impression if condensation was forming in this situation that the humidity is near 100%.

IMO your humidity is probably just fine, watch the eggs for further dimpling, if they do add some water in the corner.
Do you have any ventilation holes in the tubs?

There is one very small ventilation hole on each end of the tub. Press and seal on top, then the lid.

For that type of incubating it sounds like you have it under control, just watch the eggs if they dimple more just add a tbls or two in the corner and seal it back up
