4 year+ weigh in. scale wrong?
I have a female ball at about 4 feet and 4 or more years old. Weighed her at only 1050 grams. Even if it was somehow a male wouldnt she weigh more than that at her age. Shes not skinny or have any parasites. Could it just be a bad scale?

no its possible some bp just dont ever put on the weight. On another forum a buy had a female that was only 800 gram and 4 years old. all bp grow at their own weight. my 7 year old poss het albino female, just broke 1600 grams. it depends on their feeding habits, strong feeders will grow bigger, problem feeders will most likely stay smaller.

Oh ok. So could she ever be breed? Or is the weight just a bit too sketchy?

If she's 4 years old, and her body shape is nice and rounded and bulky, there's no reason not to try breeding her. Occasionally, some females are just small. She should be mature at her age. What has she been fed, and how often?

Got her from a friend who only fed her once a month. I try to feed her more often so maybe every other week? She only eats live small rats. Been trying real hard to get her on frozen which is cheaper for me and i could feed her every week. So picky though

two of my females barely tip the scales around 1050 grams and they are both 4 years old and laid two years in a row no problem

Once a month isn't enough. Glad you're trying to feed her more.
Once she starts eating weekly, she'll probably bulk up a bit.
But either way, like the others said, could just be a small girl.

Exactly. Im no expert breeder but some snakes just never hit the 1500 gram golden rule that alot of people go by. They still will breed perfectly fine bc theyre sexually mature.

There are some snakes that will grow slower than others and remain smaller than others, I have a smaller female she is 5 years old and about 1300 grams, she was bred last year for the very first time at 1100/1200 grams.
She has been a problem feeder all along and remained small, she was however healthy, well proportionate and I felt that she probably would never get much bigger anyway so I decided to breed her. She gave me 6 eggs and since than (knock on wood) she never has missed a meal.
So yes it is possible that you have a 4 year old female that is 1050 grams however if "she" is 4 feet and 1050 grams this is SKINNY, but if I had to bet she is probably not 4 feet from your description.
