Kinda looks like a longuicauda locality. Has a very dark melanistic tone with some iridescence from what I can see in the pics. Could be wrong though.

I'd have to go with Argentine boa for him. Looks too dark for a longicauda for me, though looking at exclusively the head I can see that. But overall I'd go with Argentine.

    Re: Boa question

I have read Argentine boa's get to a good size, is there a difference between the Argentine and Columbian as far as tempermant (although its hard to say I know, every snake is different, just curious the general concensus).

Argentine's tend to be a bit more of a handful. Like with any snake it all depends on how they're raised. Argentines are known for bluffing when you try to pick them up but if you dont give in and just pick them up they'll tame down just like any other one.

I'm definitely seeing some argie in it, but the body pattern (the saddles) are throwing me off from saying that's a full blooded argie. I want to say its a argie cross IMO.

I've read that baby argentines can be hissy/vocal but they usually grow out of it: most of what I read is that adults -when worked with- are just as tame as other boas.

    BTW it's Colombian with an "o", not a "u".
