She always gets the small rats that the others don't feel like eating, too.
If the BPs haven't eaten them within a few hours, I toss them to her.

On feeding night, even though she's had her own mega-rat, she'll wait with her face against her sliding window for hours, hoping somebody is feeling too picky to eat.
That sounds like Dolly, ROFL. Every time I check on the snakes I'll see a hopeful boa snout pressed against the sliding doors of her boa master, regardless of when she last ate.

    I know the look well.

Dixie gets so excited on supper night that I have to open the sliding door and fling the rat to her because she lunges out of her shavings and half the time, totally misses the rat and ends up with her maw gaping wide open like a gator and smacks into the Lexan door.

Boy, is she ever a glutton.

Brom [aka Bob] the BCI is much more stealthy and sinister.

When he's hungry, he'll 'track' the old gimpy dog who sleeps in the kitchen below his condo.
[she's 30 inches tall an weighs 75 pounds...is he conceited or what?]

I use the tongs to pick the aspen out of the door tracks sometimes and when he sees those shiny chrome things, he gets all "S-ed up" and ready to strike..even though there's no rat in them.

I have to tap him on the snoot so he knows to stand down...this is just a routine cleaning drill....not supper time!

On the upside, he's very 'communicative'.

When he's gone potty in his condo, he'll obviously and dramatically pose and drape himself over his second story deck and branch whilst giving me a very 'disgusted" look.

[what? I'm not the one who dropped a huge mess in the corner!]

After I've cleaned it up [with him looking on, to make sure it's all gone] he serenely slithers back into his house.

    I love that snake.

    He's so much fun.

Dolly's got a bit of drama queen flair too. If I ignore the pressed snout for long enough she starts dragging it across the glass. She actually gave herself a bruise doing that.

Wow, Charlotte has turned into a BEAST. She is eating every 2-3 days now (she would probably eat every day), and tonight she took a live rat pup. She hasn't eaten rats in a long long time. At this rate she'll be a 3000 gram monster before next year. Okay, maybe that was a slight exaggeration, but still!

Dixie does a great impression of a windshield wiper blade, 'smearing' her neck and face back and forth across the doors.

    [what a hog she is]
